Our Year 6 Eagle Owls
Today has been a day of mixed emotions as we are saying goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils. They are a super group of young people with a huge range of talents, and I know that they will go on to further success in their high schools.

Children from EYFS to Year 6 have taken part in a huge range of sporting activities – including the Climbing Wall, Tag Rugby with York City Knights, team games and a ‘Giant Ninja Obstacle Course’.  The fabulous children of Eagle Owls class, planned events and led mini stations/activities. Eagle Owls Visit to Howsham Mill

How fortunate were Eagle Owls to have such great weather on the visit to Howsham Mill on Friday. We set off on the coach in drizzle and the weather just got better and better as we travelled North. Eagle Owls had a fabulous day of ‘environmental education.’ They built solar ovens, water turbines, used data loggers, cooked and ate chocolate & marshmallow smores and climbed many trees!

VE Day Celebrations
On Thursday 8 May 2025, the children across the school took part in a variety of activities to remember and celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. We started with a whole school Collective Worship where the reasons for commemorating and celebrating this event were discussed. The school came together for an amazing ‘Street Party’ and much fun was had by all. The children looked fabulous, dressed in red, white and blue and costumes from the 1940’s. Thank you for supporting this event to make it a successful and happy occasion for our community
