Ofsted Report

On 19th May 2026 Hambleton was inspected under a new Ofsted framework, different to the one used at our previous inspection which means that we have received judgements and feedback on seven areas. We were very pleased to meet the ‘expected standard’ in every section (meaning that every criteria for every area have been met).

“The ‘expected standard’ is just that – it means the school or other provider is doing everything that it should be doing, so you’ll see the green colour coding on the report card. It’s a high standard, to make sure your children are receiving everything they need and deserve”. Ofsted

A sample from the report:

  • “The school delivers a clear and ambitious curriculum. Leaders have redesigned the curriculum considering what Hambleton pupils need”.
  • “By the end of key stage 2, pupils achieve well, outperforming their national counterparts…. …Disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities also achieve highly compared to national averages…The school never places a 'ceiling' on pupils' potential.”
  • “Pupils behave positively across the school. They treat each other with kindness and have no worries about bullying. Behaviour incidents are rare in school”.
  • “Pupils take immense pride in their leadership roles…Pupils and parents and carers view staff as approachable and genuinely caring”

Please take the time to read the full report and get in touch with school if you have any questions.

Parent View

Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education) now have an online questionnaire called ‘Parent View’, which gives you the chance to tell them and us what you think about our school. Parent View asks for your opinion on twelve aspects of our school.

We have provided a direct link to Parent View questionnaire from our web site or you can access it at http://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk

We encourage all parents / carers to take a few minutes to complete this valuable questionnaire.

You will need an email address and password for the simple log-in process.

This survey is not designed to receive complaints about schools.  If you do have any concerns please share them with us personally so that we can try to resolve them for you quickly.

If you do not have access to a computer and would like to complete the survey, please contact the school office and we will arrange a suitable time to access a school computer.
